A Call to Arms
People of faith will soon have their faith tested, if not already. Many of us believe in ourselves as particular people, only to discover that when “push comes to shove,” we don't know who we are. Many people who believe they will never forsake Christ, as St. Peter, will do far worse than deny knowing Him. Satan and his minions have been set loose upon the earth. He knows his time is limited. Sadly, the good suffers along with the evil, who deserve the just punishment for their sins. Many of our family members and friends will betray us and align themselves with the Enemy. Many of our priests, pastors, and bishops will abandon us (as evident in this plandemic) and betray us as Judas betrayed our Master. As Edmund Burke said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Well, that has proven to be true. For decades, we have turned a blind eye to the evil in our homes, families, workplaces, schools, and politics.
The only people speaking up and fighting for their “rights” have been those with an evil plan; people who scream, spit, and behave just like the one who possesses them! The people of goodwill have had the attitude to “just ignore them!” Well, we ignored them so much and for so long that they have overtaken almost every institution in our country, including the highest offices in the world: the Oval Office, some priestly offices, and even —by all appearances—the highest office on earth: that of Supreme Pontiff. Fear and compromise have crippled us. Evil can smell the blood and is ready to devour us. The time for silence is over. There MUST be pushback! We must become encouraged to speak up against the evil dictates of those who have gained power. We are in a battle for our souls. Literally!
Here's a little anecdote to encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ:
I had a profound experience the other night. Some pawn of Satan decided to attack me on social media by calling to mind sins of my past. Whoever this was claimed to know me from the past ('90s), and it became evident that they knew some information about me, skewed as it was. All this came about because they disliked some content I'd shared. They attacked my faith, called me a lesbian and con, just flat-out calumny. All in an attempt to embarrass and discredit me while completely unaware of my current state in life. After some back and forth, when it was all over, I can't describe the incredible relief and gratitude I felt that my inner peace had not been ruffled. Undoubtedly, it was because I had spent some time with my Lord in Adoration earlier in the day, imploring the graces necessary to engage this battle being waged upon God's faithful children, the “children of light.”
This encounter made me realize that when we have abandoned —through God's grace— our sinful lifestyle, repented, and confessed in the sacrament of Penance, it's as if it never existed. It was as if somebody else was being spoken about that I didn't know. There was no need to defend or clarify anything or even a feeling to want to “set the record straight.” Yes, I did live a homosexual lifestyle for most of my life and have done some things in the past that I'm ashamed of. To have some minion know certain things about my past (distorted or not) didn't matter. God knows all and sees all. In fact, it was a good reminder that all our actions have consequences and that there is no such thing as a private sin. Listen, I'm fixing to share my story with the world, and there will always be people who will attempt to use the same old, tired tactics to silence us and keep the truth from being heard. Bring it on! I've confessed those sins, and I will stand alone before the Judgement Seat of God. No mere mortal has any power over me, especially not some coward hiding behind a keyboard who refuses to reveal themselves. All this encouraged me to forge on and speak the truth unapologetically!
There is a battle between good and evil, the “children of Light” and the “children of Darkness.” Who cares what they say? Only they believe that their words have any meaning in their swollen pride. They do nothing but spew hate, lie, distort, and behave like the demons that manifest themselves through them. Happy, joyous, and fulfilled people don't speak or act in such a manner. I've prayed for this person. I never thought I could feel compassion for someone intending to malign me, yet that's what I felt. That is not natural; that is supernatural. Deo gratias!
When you confess your sins and amend your life, the past no longer has power over you. None! I encourage anyone contemplating giving their life to God not to waste another moment and run to Him now! Don't allow the shame of your past sins to keep you from seeking forgiveness. Only God can transform your life to start anew. Stand up and speak the truth without fear or compromise. Engage the battle and fight. Fight for yourself and for those you love! Not all “fighting” will be done the same way; we all have different gifts and talents, and we must do so depending on our state in life and our vocation. But fight, we must!!
The takeaway is this: no matter what our past may look like, once we have amended our lives and allowed ourselves to be transformed through God's grace, we are set free! Only those who have experienced this will be able to comprehend this. Scripture tells us that Christ and His followers are foolish in the eyes of the world. And Christ tells us: “In the world, you will have distress: but have confidence, I have overcome the world.” When God is for us, who cares who's against us?!
To arms, brothers, and sisters in Christ! Be not afraid!
